Delete files
- 1. highlight the file or directory you wish to delete.
- 2. Go to the menu bar and select Remote > delete directory or file..
Create a new directory
- 1. Make sure you are in the correct directory and make
sure the window to the left is active. If necessary, click in
it with the mouse.
- 2. Go to the menu bar and select Directories > Create
new directory...
- 3. Enter a name for this directory and click "Ok".
Create additional Bookmarks
Select Customize > new shortcut from the menu bar. You will
get the below screen with space to input your account details.
Once set up, you can just connect by selecting file>open shortcut
or double clicking on it from the shortcut menu (window > fetch
shortcuts).
That's all there is to it! If you have any errors, they will be
displayed in the pane at the bottom.
Using Web Browswer For FTP
For example: Open browser Firefox, enter the following string in address
bar:
ftp://ftp.princeton.edu/
hit return, then you can see something like:
Index of ftp://ftp.princeton.edu/
Up to higher level directory
Directory: psr 6/22/2006 12:00:00 AM
Directory: pub 6/10/2008 8:17:00 PM
Directory: redhat 3/22/2006 12:00:00 AM |
Please note, not every FTP site allows anonymous access. Usually, you
will need a username and password to login. |
